TODAY IS ELECTION DAY.
Hello, I am Los Angeles County Assistant Sheriff and City of Lakewood Mayor Todd Rogers.
Welcome to my website.
Like so many of you, I am deeply disappointed about the problems associated with our department. I believe the great majority of the 18,000 employees of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are good and honest people. The problem is, bad apples were given too much authority. They were not qualified and they seriously abused that authority. That is unacceptable and I will bring reforms.
Currently, I have been responsible for many reforms that are changing the department from within. As your Sheriff, I will finish the job. I will restore public trust, return our focus to quality community-based policing and bring about a new era of department accountability. That means everyone—from top commanders at Sheriff’s headquarters to deputy sheriffs on patrol to our newest employees—will be responsible to do their best in an ethical and professional manner.
I have detailed my comprehensive plan for implementing Reforms We Can Trust in the pages of this website. And I have a six-minute documentary short that lays out my vision for the department. If you have any questions or would like to take part in our reform campaign, please feel free to email me at email@example.com.
Thank you for visiting,
